As far back as I can remember, I have enjoyed psychology, math, and science. I concentrated on these subjects in high school, earned a bachelor's degree in biology in college, and am presently pursuing my doctorate's degree in biology, with a focus on neuroscience. Teaching these subjects is the only thing more exciting than learning about them. I have experience tutoring individuals in history, geometry, chemistry, algebra, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, and biology. I have tutored all age groups. I teach ways to approach studying the subjects. I break down the subjects into smaller steps to understand, explain how to organize their understanding and thoughts, and how to self assess while studying to assist them in learning. I help them grasp the concepts so that they can use this understanding to successfully complete other classes and subjects in the future.I was raised in the Midwest on a farm, and really enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. Some of those activities I enjoy are exploring nature, hiking, running, and gardening. My other interests I enjoy, include reading, cooking, and watching movies. I am a sports fan of the Buckeyes of Ohio State and the Cincinnati Reds.
